Dispatches

A short report after every drive

Not essays. A date, a place, what happened, who ran it, and two photographs — filed within 48 hours, while it is all still checkable.

The first dispatch follows the first drive

There is nothing here yet, and we are not going to fill the page with links to other people's work to hide that. The first entry lands with the first drive.

Why 48 hours

Because a report written a month later is written from memory, and memory rounds up. The 48-hour rule is the single thing keeping this record closer to what happened than to what we would have liked to happen.

What every dispatch carries

01

The date and the place

The panchayat, and the specific site — not “Bharatpur district”.

02

The named organiser

Whoever ran it, under their own name. There are no anonymous entries here.

03

What was counted

A headcount, and the measure that matters for that drive — sacks, metres, enrolments.

04

Two photographs

Place-and-activity captions only, until per-person consent is on file.

05

What happens next

Whether the site needs a return visit, and the date it falls due.
